2016 Fo Guang Shan New Year Festival of Light and Peace
|
|
|
A variety of activities and events have been lined up for the Chinese New Year Festivities at Fo Guang Shan and Buddha Memorial Center. At Fo Guang Shan, you can get a map at the different shrines and attractions, and collect stamps in exchange for a souvenir. Besides the various ceremonies, you can ring the blessing bell in prayer for peace and harmony.
At the Buddha Memorial Center, you can see traditional Taiwanese craftworks at the Memory-Handcraft exhibition, the Weifang kite from Shandong, China, and the Eight Palace Handicrafts of Beijing. In addition, there will be Hebei acrobatic performances, and elegant peonies from Heze, Shandong, the city of peonies. Also, try out the delicious vegetarian food from Tianjin, China. In the evening, watch fireworks decorate the night sky with brilliance.
